Kathy Paredes has been working in the optical field since 1978; she brought her talents to our office in 2005. Kathy is our on-site lab manager and helps us ensure that our quality control is the best that it can be. Her responsibilities include ordering lens blanks with the correct treatments for each pair of glasses that is ordered. Once she receives the blanks, she inspects them for defects, and if they are perfect, she cuts them to fit the patient's chosen frame. Upon completion, she inspects them again to make sure that the final product is just what the doctor ordered.
Kathy takes her job responsibilities very seriously and wants every pair of glasses that leaves our office to be perfectly made. One of her favorite parts of the job is when she sees patients out around the city, enjoying their eyewear, and knowing that she had a part in making them see well and look good.
In her personal time, Kathy is a dedicated walker, loves being outdoors, and working in the yard. Weekends usually find her visiting her mother, enjoying life over a cup of coffee.
